Brake Chopper BC-18000-90-0R400
18 kW peak braking power, 200 A peak current, 0.4 Ω minimum resistance: for drives where every millisecond of braking deceleration counts.
Highly dynamic servo systems, test benches and frequently reversing drives generate short, energy-dense regenerative pulses of several kilowatts. The BC-18000-90-0R400 was developed for exactly these requirements: 18 kW peak power and 200 A peak current at 10–90 VDC reliably protect even energy-dense low-voltage systems. Note: For optimum performance, the connection to the DC bus should be ≤ 25 cm.
Features
- Up to 18 kW braking power (3 s peak), the highest power in the low-voltage segment
- 200 A peak current for extremely dynamic applications
- Minimum resistance: 0.4 Ω
- Inductance derating curve documented (≤ 5 µH resistor inductance)
- Integrated fan connection 12 V and NTC temperature sensor input
- Switching window configurable via CAN
