Rigi — BLDC Servo Drive 4 kW / 80 VDC / 50 A (VESC®-compatible)
4 kW, 80 VDC, 50 A RMS: industrial BLDC servo drive and motor controller, fully VESC®-compatible. For robotics, automation and test benches where standard motor controllers reach their limits.
The Akrodyn Rigi is an industrially designed servo drive that is fully compatible with VESC® firmware and the VESC Tool. Unlike maker-oriented VESC boards, the Rigi was developed for continuous operation in mobile robotics, stationary systems and industrial environments: robust screw terminals instead of LiPo connectors, cooling plate mounting for genuine 50 A RMS continuous current, and compliance with CE/RoHS2.
The modular system consists of a Power Unit (PU-4000-80-50) and a Logic Unit (LU-VE-CAN), which are stacked directly. Different Logic Units will enable different communication interfaces and safety levels in the future, with an identical Power Unit.

Note: The Akrodyn Rigi is based on the open-source VESC® firmware by Benjamin Vedder (vesc-project.com). The firmware can be freely modified and adapted. Akrodyn provides the industrialised hardware carrier board. The community firmware and the VESC ecosystem remain fully accessible.
